Tale of the tomb John 20:1-18.
It begins with Exasperation (1-2) Mary found an empty tomb, it was not what she was expecting. Mary thought that someone had stolen the body. Today we find ourselves in times where things are not what we ever expected how are we going to react?
There follows Examination (3-10) Peter and John examines the evidence. John believed. God has promised never to leave us or forsake us, upon examination do we trust that he still is with us?
Then there is Expression (11-16) Jesus appears and explains to Mary the significance of what has taken place and tells her to go and share the good news with his followers. Do we obey and do what Jesus expressly tells us to do?
It closes with Exclamation (16-18) Mary was so excited that ‘she went to the disciples with the news; “I have seen the Lord” and she told them that he had said these things to her’ Are we excited over what Easter means for us and do have the desire to share excitedly?
