FELLOWSHIP NEWS AND NOTICES

The latest Notices can be found here

Where there are five Sundays in a month together with Advent Sunday and the Sunday at the beginning of the January week of Prayer for Christian Unity the churches of Paignton come together for a unity service - these services are hosted by different church congregations.

If you are aware of any member of the congregation who is in hospital can you please inform the Pastoral Secretary (Marian T.) so that a visit can be arranged.

Please check out the Foyer and hall notice boards for other Christian activities and events.

Gift Aid envelopes are available in the Foyer for those who are able to gift aid their gifts and are not already in our scheme.

There are coloured "shoe bags" in the Créche area filled with drawing books, crayons, paper, toys, etc. for use by any young children attending Church.  Please feel free to use them.

PLEASE NOTE
The church gallery/balcony will be closed and locked for the foreseeable future.  This is on health and safety grounds as the large front window is considered unsafe and there are insufficient funds to attempt any large scale repairs.  This has been discussed and the decision made by the Church Council.

PRAYER FOCUS

Please pray for those of our fellowship, families and friends who are unwell or just need a little extra grace this week.

Please also remember the the work of local Christian organisations; Street & School Pastors, ANODE, The Haven, Factory Row, LiNX Christian Youth Trust, Youth Genesis.

If you are aware of any member of the congregation that is in hospital, please contact the Pastoral Secretary so that a visit can be made.

As part of Christians Together in Paignton we remember the Minister and congregation of each affiliated Church.

Prayer Request FormWe are a caring, sharing church family and we invite you to share your thoughts and concerns with us by making a Prayer Request.

OTHER NOTICES

ACCESSIBILITY
We have a Radio Hearing Loop in the church.
Multi Media is used for songs etc. If you require this in a different format please ask a steward.

REMINDER
All notices for the boards in the foyer, and the hall, must be seen and signed by a Steward before they are displayed.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Read and digest the contents of the Fire Evacuation Notices near the Exits.  If the Fire Alarm sounds, leave by the nearest Exit and assemble in front of the shops in Palace Avenue on the same side as the church.

DON'T FORGET ... the church is open every Monday and Tuesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00
Please make use of this in any way you would find helpful; come and sit quietly for a few minutes; pray or ask for prayer for yourself or others. There are always people available if you would like to talk about anything at all. So, why not make a visit to Palace Avenue Methodist Church on a Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday morning – it might be just the ‘oasis’ you need.  Extra help is needed for the coffee mornings in the church foyer - if anyone can spare the time to help, say, once a month, this would be appreciated.  Helping with coffee mornings can be both enjoyable and rewarding.  Please contact us for details.

FAIRTRADE CHURCH STATUS REMINDER
Palace Avenue Methodist Church is recognised by the Fairtrade Foundation as a Fairtrade Church, and in order to keep the Fairtrade Status the church must always use Fairtrade tea and coffee at all of its services, meetings and events. Your help is much appreciated, thank you.
