THOUGHT For the Month

When we speak God hears us, when we pray God listens.
Our prayers are always answered but not always in the way we expect.

Prayer Request FormWe are a caring, sharing church family and we invite you to share your thoughts and concerns with us by making a Prayer Request.

"God understands every human language. Remaining close to him in silence is already prayer: your lips remain closed but your heart is speaking to him. And, by the Holy Spirit, Christ prays in you more than you can imagine."
Brother Roger of Taizé

Thought for the Month

Heavenly Father thank you for all the gifts and blessings you give us each day and for all the little things you do to make our lives easier.

We pray for our Queen who has served this country so well for many years.  Please continue to give her many years of happiness and good health, also the other members of the Royal Family.

We pray for our Government and all Members of Parliament.  Please let them settle their differences, discuss and negotiate so that the result will be the best outcome for our country because there are so many very important issues needing urgent attention apart from 'Brexit'.

We pray for all who are sick or in hospital, for all the doctors, medical and other staff who work so hard to make people better.

We pray for all homeless people and those who have to go to food banks to feed their children.  We thank all those who volunteer to provide these and many other vital services.

Please, Lord, hear our prayers.

Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.

Amen.

Our church is open for prayer and meditation each Monday and Tuesday mornings from 10.00 to 12.00. Whether you wish to pray or just sit in the peace and quiet, you are most welcome. Alternatively, see below to leave a message if you would like us to pray for you or a particular situation.

"Prayer is a serene force at work within human beings, stirring them up, transforming them, never allowing them to close their eyes in the face of evil, of wars, of all that threatens the weak of this world. From it we draw energy to wage other struggles - to enable our loved ones to survive, to transform the human condition, to make the earth a fit place to live in."
Brother Roger of Taizé
