THOUGHT For the Month

When we speak God hears us, when we pray God listens.
Our prayers are always answered but not always in the way we expect.

Prayer Request FormWe are a caring, sharing church family and we invite you to share your thoughts and concerns with us by making a Prayer Request.

"God understands every human language. Remaining close to him in silence is already prayer: your lips remain closed but your heart is speaking to him. And, by the Holy Spirit, Christ prays in you more than you can imagine."
Brother Roger of Taizé

Thought for the Month

As we are now in the holiday season we praise God for all the beauty of His world and give thanks for His gifts to us all.

Summer suns are glowing
over land and sea,
happy light is flowing,
bountiful and free.
Everything rejoices
in the mellow rays,
all earth's thousand voices

swell the psalm of praise.

God's free mercy streams

over all the world,
and his banner gleams

everywhere unfurled.
Broad and deep and glorious

as the heaven above,
shines in might victorious

his eternal love.

(William Walsham How 1823-1897)

Let the door of our heart be always open to you, O Lord,
that we may mark your entrance, embrace your presence,
hear your voice, seek your strength
and hold fast to you for ever. Amen

(Paul Heath  1599-1643)

Our church is open for prayer and meditation each Monday and Tuesday mornings from 10.00 to 12.00. Whether you wish to pray or just sit in the peace and quiet, you are most welcome. Alternatively, see below to leave a message if you would like us to pray for you or a particular situation.

"Prayer is a serene force at work within human beings, stirring them up, transforming them, never allowing them to close their eyes in the face of evil, of wars, of all that threatens the weak of this world. From it we draw energy to wage other struggles - to enable our loved ones to survive, to transform the human condition, to make the earth a fit place to live in."
Brother Roger of Taizé
